Hailing from Orange County, California, The Damn Automatics have been described as a combination between Green Day, Foo Fighters and Cheap Trick on steroids. The band consists of singer/guitarist Jeff Wright, lead guitarist Jason Weeks, bassist Nate Large and drummer Gavin Miller. Jeff and Jason’s guitar playing compliment each other in both tone and composition while Nate and Gavin lay down a rock solid foundation. The music and vocals are melodic, powerful, and full of emotion. Not only is the music gripping but their live performance is flawless.
A previously self-produced eight song EP titled "Rock and Roll Retribution" (mixed by Fred Archambault (Avenged Sevenfold, Eighteen Visions)) was sold via iTunes, live shows, and the Tower Records retail chain before their closure. Orange County Register voted Rock and Roll Retribution "Top Ten Best of the Best…" and Los Angeles radio station Indie 103.1 FM put the track “Kill Your Radio” into rotation immediately. The Damn Automatics are currently in the studio recording tracks with producers Mark Kiczula (Dashboard Confessional, Good Charlotte, Linkin Park feat. Jay Z, Scary Kids Scaring Kids) and Rob Brill (The Strokes, Taking Back Sunday, Shinedown, The Bled).
A combination of polished live performances, relentless promotion and endless touring not only continues to win new fans for the band but has triggered an eruption of interest from major and independent record label executives.
"The intention was to create smartly crafted songs that always aim for a contagious melody and give true emotion. This is a product of all band dynamics: fighting, drinking, eating, smoking and sleeping until a universal goal was achieved: unity." -Jason Weeks
